KhmerLex's Pro Bono Service is called “ Metta" created by Dr KONG Phallack, founder of KhmerLex. Metta means loving-kindness. While practicing laws, Dr KONG Phallack has introduced this concept into his law firm to promote pro bono services for poor persons or local & international organizations whose primary purpose is to help Cambodian poor people or people who are not able to afford legal services.
KhmerLex's Metta comprises Legal Advice & Consultation (LAC), Legal Representation at ECCC & Local Courts (LR) and Coaching Law Students for National and International Competitions (CLS). Request for service is accepted upon time availability of our lawyers. Services offered under KhmerLex Metta can be free of charge or minimal charge depending on status of clients
Recently, Dr KONG Phallack has provided free legal representation to ethnic Khmer Krom at ECCC, local and international NGOs operating in Cambodia, law students at Faculty of Law and Public Affairs of Pannasastra University of Cambodia.
